Roblox is an imagination platform that offers a platform where gaming enthusiasts can develop and play various online games.

One of the most popular features of Roblox is the group option. Users can create a group and invite other players, creating their own mini-community on the platform.

Here, they can face off with other groups, engage in discussions, and more.

But what if you are no longer interested in the group you created, or it has served its purpose? 

Here is all the information you need about leaving or deleting a Roblox group.

How does Roblox work?

Simply speaking, Roblox is a social networking site for gaming fans.

Therefore, it works like any other social site, where you sign up, choose a username and password, and offer any other required data.

Once you have created an account (signed up) you can start accessing the various features offered on the platform. These include:

Chat & party features where you interact with friends on the platform

  • Visiting forums
  • Inviting other users to play games
  • Accessing the group feature

With the group feature, you have two options:

  1. Join an active group
  2. Create your own group

Join an already existing group

To join an existing group on Roblox:

  • Go to the “search bar” which is located at the top of any Roblox page
  • Enter the keyword for the group you want to search, for example, “Bad Builders”
  • Choose “search in groups”
  • From the results, select the group you want then click the “Join Group” button

Creating a Roblox group

To create your own group:

  • Log into your Roblox account
  • Go to the navigation panel located on the left side of the page and click “Groups”
  • Click the “Create” button
  • Enter your group details – name, description, emblem, etc.
  • Go to “Settings” located on the left side of the group creation page and select accessibility (public or private) and approval method (manual or automatic)
  • With everything set, click on the “Purchase” button to finalize group creation. This will cost you 100 Robux credits, approximately 0.35 USD.

Is it possible to delete a Roblox group?

So, you are no longer interested in the group you have created. Can you delete it? Currently, it is not possible to remove a group from Roblox.

The only option you have is to hide it from other users by setting accessibility to private, delete current group members, and then leave the group.

The group will continue to exist, but other Roblox users won’t be able to join it.

To leave your group:

  • Go to the Groups section on the left navigation panel
  • Select your group
  • Click on the “Leave Group button
Note: To ensure that your group is not taken over by another user, you must be the last member to leave. Leaving before will allow any of the remaining members to claim group ownership.
