Roblox allows players to form groups which act as communities for like-minded players. Groups can compete in battles, share tips and engage in discussions. Players are allowed to join a group and engage in the activities the group admin sets out. This is usually a fun way to engage when gaming.
There are some guidelines that direct how groups are set out on Roblox and how members can engage. Once the group is created, the admin will have the duty of fully managing it.
How to make a group on Roblox
To make a group on Roblox, a player needs membership of any level and 100 Robux for every group they make. All other players are allowed to join any group but only those with a subscription will be able to create one.
A builder or group admin can set a group to be private or public. With private groups, a player has to first request to join and then admin will have to review the request and either deny or accept the player.
For a public group, a player can just automatically join the group. A group can contain any number of players. But the number of groups a player can join is dependent on their membership.
How to join a group on Roblox
- Locate a group
- Click on the search bar at the top of the page
- Enter the keyword or title of the group
- Select Search in groups.
- Select join group after getting the specific group you intend to join
Joining the group is dependent on what the admin has set out. If it is a private group you will have to wait until your request has been approved. Some users ask, why can’t I join groups on Roblox?
This is because an admin might not have approved your request for a private group or you may have exhausted the number of groups you can join per your subscription.
Players with no membership can join up to 5 groups, Classic users can join 10 groups, Turbo members can access up to 20 groups while Outrageous members can join 100 groups.
How to leave a group on Roblox
If you become uninterested in a group you are in, you can opt to leave. You can do this on your smartphone or computer.
- Click on your Groups section
- Select the group you want to exit
- Click on leave group
A group admin can also leave a group if they want. Ownership will be transferred to any member with a builder account that claims the group. If no one claims the group, the group remains without an owner.
Another important thing to note with Roblox is that currently you cannot delete a group once created. Roblox also does not support editing a group’s name. Once an admin picks the name, they have to stick to it. Ensure you create a group with the title and description that fits your intentions.
