1. Change your password
Changing a password is the first thing you should do to safeguard your iCloud account. To change your Apple ID password:

- Tap your name and go to Password & Security section
- Select Change Password
- Enter your current password and then the new password
- Confirm the new password by re-entering it
2. Turn on two-factor authentication.
Alternately, you can add another security layer by activating the two-factor authentication: To activate it:
- Tap settings, then your name
- Select Password & Security option
- You will be redirected to Two-Factor Authentication, page: Turn it on
- Put your trusted number
You will receive a verification code which you must use to complete the process. In the future, the login process can only be complete if the other party has access to the verification code sent on your phone.
